Training & Ongoing Support

You don’t need to have spent years in the trade to open a Loxley Locksmith & Security location. We’ve built our onboarding around the reality that most of our owners come from management, sales, or military backgrounds, not from picking locks. What matters is that you can hire well, follow a system, and treat customers the way you’d want your own mother treated. We’ll teach you the rest, from rekeying a Kwikset deadbolt to quoting a master-key system for a medical office. Our training facility in Texas runs week-long intensives, and our field coaches stay with you through your first hundred jobs.

Initial Training

Week one is residential fundamentals. You’ll work on actual doors, actual hardware: Schlage, Kwikset, Medeco, Yale, Baldwin, Mul-T-Lock, Sargent, and Abloy. We start with the most common call, a lockout, and move through rekeys, lock replacements, and smart-lock installs. You’ll learn to diagnose a failed latch, explain the difference between a single-cylinder and double-cylinder deadbolt to a homeowner, and write a proper invoice that reflects The Kingswell Way.

Week two covers commercial work. Master-key systems, key control, access control panels, and the basics of electrified hardware. We use the real terms, then explain them: a “maison key system” is just a hierarchy of keys where one key opens everything and others open only specific doors. You’ll learn to read a door schedule and spec the right electrified strike for a glass storefront.

Operations and software fill the third week. Our dispatch platform, inventory system, and the pricing playbook that lets you quote confidently over the phone. We also cover hiring: where to find technicians, how to background-check them, and why the uniform matters as much as the skill. Marketing setup rounds out the month, local SEO, Google Business Profile optimization, and how to build relationships with property managers and real estate offices in your territory.

Launch Support

Before your first call comes in, we help you build the local engine. That means a fully built website with location pages, a Google Business Profile verified and optimized, and directory listings that point to your actual phone number, not a national switchboard. We don’t believe in buying you leads. We believe in teaching you to generate your own.

Your field coach arrives the week before launch and stays through your first ten jobs. They ride along, listen to your phone quotes, and correct what’s off before it becomes habit. The first jobs are coached in real time: how to handle a customer who got a lower quote elsewhere, how to spot a door frame that’s been kicked in and needs more than just a new lock, how to leave a job site cleaner than you found it. Most owners tell us this is the part that saved them from early mistakes they’d have made for months otherwise.

Ongoing Support

  • Field coaching and ride-alongs. Your coach visits quarterly, or more often if you’re in a growth push or hitting a slump. They review recorded calls, check your pricing against the playbook, and work alongside your technicians on complex jobs.
  • Marketing program management. We run the national brand campaigns that build recognition for the Loxley name, and we provide the local marketing templates and vendor relationships you need to dominate your own territory.
  • Vendor and manufacturer relationships. Our collective buying power gets you distributor pricing on Schlage, Medeco, Mul-T-Lock, and the rest. More importantly, you get direct lines to factory reps who can spec unusual jobs and honor warranty claims without runaround.
  • Technology platform updates. Dispatch, inventory, pricing, and customer communication tools are maintained and improved centrally. You don’t manage servers or software licenses.
  • Peer network of owners. Monthly calls with other Loxley and Kingswell operators. Someone in another state has already solved the problem you’re facing, whether it’s a technician who keeps no-showing or a commercial bid you’re unsure how to price.
  • The Kingswell Guarantee backing. Every repair you perform carries our written guarantee: if it fails inside the period, we come back and fix it at no charge. That promise is not an upsell. It’s the foundation of the trust that gets you repeat calls and referrals.

You’re Never Alone

Opening a business is a serious decision. We’ve tried to remove the guesswork from the parts that trip people up, the technical training, the pricing confidence, the marketing engine, the customer systems. What you bring is the willingness to show up, hire carefully, and stand behind your work. If that sounds like you, call Sam Rourke at (682) 281-8985. He’ll answer honestly about whether your territory is open, what the investment looks like, and whether Loxley Locksmith & Security is the right fit for where you want to go.
